Acronym for Computational Fluidⁱ Dynamics.

CFDⁱ is a computer-based mathematical modeling tool that incorporates the solution of the fundamental equations of fluid flow, the Navier-Stokes equations, and other allied equations. CFDⁱ incorporates empirical models for modeling turbulence based on experimentation, as well as the solution of heat, mass and other transport and field equations. There are three phases to CFDⁱ: pre-processing, simulation and post-processing.
